The members of the band Frankie Valli (vocals), Bob Gaudio (keyboards), Tommy DeVito (lead guitar), and Nick Massi (bass) created a sound all of their own and wrote their own songs - a first in popular music and a hit with the masses. With wildly popular songs like "Sherry", "Big Girls Don't Cry," and "Oh, What a Night," Jersey Boys touches upon the American public in the 1950's and 1960's and reminds the same public of a glorious time gone by.

The real moment of toe-tapping thrill comes from the song "Can't Take My Eyes Off You,' when Frankie Valli has risen to the true pop sensation and is beginning the painful slide down. He knows this is the song that will win hearts, that will sell records, but radio stations won't play it, won't back it up. He takes his song straight to the public who adores him and the song gives Valli his comeback. This moment in the musical makes the crowd go wild.

Directed by Des McAnuff who was behind the revival of "The Who's Tommy" brings together the wonderful John Lloyd Young, making his Broadway debut (as Frankie Valli), Christian Hoff as DeVito, Daniel Reichard as Gaudio, J. Robert Spencer as Massi. The script is by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo.

John Lloyd Young has made a mark for himself on Broadway by bringing the life and fun to Frankie Valli's biography by not necessarily impersonating Valli, but building the character into something bigger than life.
